When I first started my business years ago, it was my breakthrough goal to make six figures in one year. After I found out that less than 10% of entrepreneurs will ever get to that six-figure mark, I became obsessed with making sure I was willing to do whatever it would take to be in that upper percentile who would reach their goal! It felt like an eternity to get there, but about two years ago I finally reached my goal.
Looking back on it, six figures in a year is not a whole lot- but you have to get to six before you can get to seven right? Also, due to the fact that few entrepreneurs will make it there, I think it is a feat that should be celebrated. With that being said, I want to share with you some of the tools I used that were instrumental in helping me reach my six figure goal.
Simplero: I actually began using Simplero after I reached my initial six figure goal, but once I incorporated Simplero our revenue increased dramatically. Of course everyone does not read our weekly ezine, but it is so important to your business that you send one each week because it is a top of mind marketing strategy. We receive over 90% of our new leads on the day that the ezine goes out. Many of you may have been saying you would sign up for your free discovery session with me for weeks, so when this email goes out weekly it definitely serves as a friendly reminder.
Pipedrive: Are you an entrepreneur that struggles with follow up? Let Pipedrive save your life. I LOVE this system. Years ago, I would not follow up with people out of fear but as the business grew, I struggled with follow up because it was hard to stay organized. Pipedrive has an excellent online system where you can enter in your leads information, take notes, and also understand the value of following up. The best thing about Pipedrive is that they offer a free trial (no credit card required) and once you do have to pay, it will cost you about $12/monthly.
Docusign: It means nothing until the contract is signed. Like many entrepreneurs, my struggle in the very beginning was getting clients to pay their invoices. Many times this was my fault, because I had not done a thorough job of making sure that the contracts were signed and sent back to us. Docusign makes this process so much easier for myself and clients because there is no printer or scanner needed. I love it! Since using docusign, I was able to stay more organized with each client's contract. With that being said, a client's account was very past due, I knew exactly where to go when I needed to forward their account to our attorney. For the unlimited contracts per month, we pay about $40 for our Docusign services.
What is your revenue goal for your business for the next year and are you sure you have the right tools in place to reach that goal? I would love to hear about it and make sure that you are on track.
