"If you don't have clients, you don't have a business." - Unknown
Yes, it's true! Forgive me for busting your bubble, but If you don't have customers then you do not have a business. Normally when people set up a discovery session with me, the primary question/concern is "how do I get clients" or "how do I keep clients," it's an age old question simply because more clients equals more money. I totally understand the frustration because three years ago, I had no idea how to get clients. As a matter of fact, I never initiated anything with getting clients- I waited for people to reach out to me. Waiting for people to reach out to you for services/products is the fastest route to Brokeville, I totally made this word up but you get my drift.
Here are three things you can do instantly to keep the clients flowing in:
Understand Your Ideal Client: The biggest mistake entrepreneurs make is thinking everyone is their client. If you don't know who your ideal client is, you've been pitching your services to a brick wall all this time. Yup! In order to keep the clients coming in you need to make sure you are speaking to people who are ideal candidates for your services. It's nearly impossible to sell life coaching after divorce coaching package to a person that is happily married. Know who your ideal clients are and have a good understanding of what they need. Everyone is not your ideal client.
Systems Matter: What is your system to get a new client? What's the cost to acquire a new client? Do you have a good merchant system to take payments on the spot? You need to have answers to these questions if you want a revolving door of clients. It's hard to acquire a client and makes you look extremely unprofessional when you don't have a proper intake process. Also, what's your follow up strategy? Only a very small percentage of clients are going to sign up for services or buy a product on the first point of contact with you. You must have a system in place to acquire clients and to follow up.
You Better Know How To Sell (Without Selling): You can't run from this part. You have to understand that in any business, you are a sales person- and if you want to hit six or seven figures you better be a damn good one. When you truly know how to sell, you know how to do so without coming off like you are selling. This comes with lots of practice, but you must know that it is essential. I did not know how to sell AT ALL until I hired a coach and was properly trained. If you are stuck at this part, get some help. The longer you wait, the longer it will take for you to get more clients and the results that you desire.
Do you feel like you are ready to implement this things right away? Let's get it done and get those clients, I believe in you! If you are feeling stuck, we can help. Click here to talk to me one-on-one about how to get clients for your business.
THIS WEEK'S FIRE YOUR BOSS TIP: Watch The Company You Keep
Be selective about who you allow in your space, you should only be around those individuals who inspire you and allow you to inspire them. Having the right circle makes a huge difference in how successful you will be so be careful who you allow to sit at your table. If you are hanging out with four people who are not motivated, you are bound to be the fifth one.
