So I am sure that you've heard the famous quote before, "the fortune is in the follow up." Although this is very true, studies show that over 50% of entrepreneurs do not follow up at all. Crazy right? I can totally relate because my following up used to be terrible, and honestly I am STILL a work in progress in this department. If you have struggled with following up, here are three tips to get you going:
Do or Die: Ok so you won't really die, but your business could. Follow up or lack thereof can truly make or break your business! If you have a ton of leads in your business, it means nothing if you are not following up with them. It's a process, but you must be committed to following up if you want your business to be successful.
This Is Your Purpose: This is your calling right? It's your dream right? Act like it. If you are not following up with potential clients/customers, you are doing them a major disservice. I had to check myself on this many times. When there's a calling on your life to do something major and change lives, it is your duty to follow up and make things happen. Someone's life could be depending on your follow up, don't take it lightly.
Numbers Never Lie: As I mentioned earlier, studies show that over 50% of entrepreneurs do not follow up....well here is an even more powerful stat. Over 80% of sales are closed between the 5th and 12th points of contact. YUP! So here is the translation: if you are not following up then you are leaving a ton of money on the table. I challenge you to work on a follow up campaign this month, your customers are waiting for you.
I know from my own experiences that following up can be challenging, but it is essential to your business success. Most entrepreneurs struggle with follow up because they struggle with sales in the first place. Does this sound like your story? Click here to apply for a one-on-one with me, I would be happy to assist you with this. Remember, your customers/clients are waiting for you!
THIS WEEK'S FIRE YOUR BOSS TIP: Comfort?.......Where?!
When you decided to be an entrepreneur, you gave up the word comfort. In order to have a successful business, being uncomfortable is a non-negotiable requirement. The second that you start to get "comfortable" will be the beginning of you simply just getting by as a entrepreneur. Why just get by when the sky isn't the limit? Stay faithful and stay uncomfortable
